Sending and Receiving Secure Emails

In Mail Express v4.1 and later, in addition to sending secure attachments, you can send an email with a secure message body. The message and attachments are encrypted in transit.

To send an email in Outlook with a secure message body

Create the email as usual, attach files, click Secure Message then click Send Now.

The recipient will receive an email with the message and attachment removed. Instead, the email contains a link to the Pickup portal.

In Outlook, the received email looks similar to this:

When the recipient clicks the pick-up portal link, the default browser opens and displays:

the subject line of the message (e.g., "Example of a secure message")
the message body (e.g., "This email is an example of a secure message")
a link to open or download the attachment (e.g., Energy.doc)

The icon that is displayed depends on the type of document.

If the sender selected the Send Reply link check box, the Reply and Replay All buttons are available.
